Leasing Representative – Greater Philadelphia
Our client is a privately held, retail real estate owner, developer and manager that specializes in high quality, community, neighborhood and regional retail projects.  They have developed shopping centers in southeastern PA and southern NJ and have a multi-million square foot operating portfolio that is expanding by millions more via new projects.  They have been established in the Greater Philadelphia area since the early 90’s and are financially solid.   

They will be adding a seasoned individual who is a self-starter, team player and excellent communicator with a minimum of three years of commercial real estate experience in shopping center sales or leasing. This person will be assigned a portfolio of properties owned by the company, which are located in Southeastern PA and Southern NJ. The projects include both existing properties as well as new construction. The ideal candidate will possess a rolodex of retailer contacts, executed lease transactions and an excellent working relationship with the retail brokerage community.  Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials to prospective tenants and brokers.
  • Canvass for new Tenants, maintain current Tenant relationships, and create value through upgrading the Tenant mix.
  • Lease vacant units and manage a broker network to identify potential Tenants.
  • Negotiate Lease proposals, amendments and renewals in accordance with company goals in a complete and professional manner.
  • Prepare and complete all documentation, forms and other paperwork required by the company including leasing status and forecasting reports, budgets, and occupancy projections.
  • Continually update competition surveys, stay current with market rent fluctuations and NNN benchmarks at competing centers.
  • Interview prospective Tenants and record information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
  • Accompany prospects to properties and discuss size, layout of rooms, available facilities, and terms of Lease.

Qualifications:

  • 3 plus years of experience in leasing or sales of neighborhood, community, and/or power centers on behalf of landlords, brokerages, or retailers.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with solid contacts in the retail industry.
  • A proven leader, self-starter, possess strong interpersonal communication, organizational and analytical skills, as well as be creative and a strong deal closer.
  • Superior skills in retail leasing; tenant/broker contacts; understand accounting systems, and financial analysis.
